"Atlas" is part of the site-specific project “Our Audible City”.
Atlas 6, the final chapter of site-specific project “Our Audible City”, will take place in the revitalised Haw Par Mansion, currently home of Haw Par Music. Built in 1936 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Aw Boon Haw, Haw Par Mansion is an architectural manifestation of hybrid culture resulting from the interaction between East and West in the early 20th century. The public garden adjacent to the Mansion, the Tiger Balm Garden, was once a cultural site of memory of Hong Kong. Composer and curator Charles Kwong will create an immersive journey of harmonies and sonorities that reveals the physical characteristics of the site, and transform it into an audible space.
