Next week, we welcome Hong Kong-born pianist Chiyan Wong to perform and share with us his music journey thus far. Recently awarded the prestigious 40th Grand Prix du Disque by the Franz Liszt Society in Budapest, Hungary, in recognition of his critically-acclaimed debut album Liszt Transfigured: Operatic Fantasies for Piano on LINN Records, which features Liszt’s operatic transcriptions completed and edited by Chiyan himself. Major performances include the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Wigmore Hall (all-Liszt recital), the International Music Festival in Dinard, France, 19th Singapore International Piano Festival and Salzburg Mozarteum, to name a few. Chiyan is currently pursuing his further music studies at the Royal Academy of Music as a Lee Hysan Foundation Scholar. Join us to be dazzled!
