Acclaimed cellist and music educator Anna Kwan received her bachelor’s degree at Oberlin Conservatory of Music under Andor Toth Jr., and her Master of Music degree at Yale University under Aldo Parisot. She also studied chamber music with Claude Frank, Peter Frankl, as well as the Tokyo, Vermeer, Emerson and Colorado String Quartets. She joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001. Previously, she has collaborated with performers such as Nigel Kennedy and Monique Duphil. In 2006, she was invited by Maestro Myung-Whun Chung to perform with the Asia Philharmonic Orchestra in Seoul, Korea. Anna started her teaching career in 2001 with great dedication to nurturing aspiring young cellists.
