Carol CHAN was born in Hong Kong, and started piano lessons at an early age. In 2013, she was admitted to Hong Kong Baptist University. After she received her Bachelor Degree from HKBU in 2017, she was admitted to the Master Degree programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in oboe performance in the class of Prof. Yiu Song Lam. During her studies, she participated in masterclasses by Jean-Louis Capezzali, François Leleux, Jérôme Guichard, and Christoph Hartmann among others. After her study at HKAPA, she was selected to be a part of the International Orchestra Academy of Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra in Czech Republic Ostrava.
Previously, she was selected as a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra where they toured Asia, and was part of the HKAPA Wind Ensemble resulted in 1st prize at the Thailand International Wind Symphony Competition. She is now an active performer and is frequently invited to perform with a number of ensembles in Hong Kong such as SAR Philharmonic Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Orchestra, Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra, Ponte Orchestra, and Collegium Musicum HK.Programme Details >
